On a personal note....
I know I just posted a long post below, but i wanted to thank everyone for your thoughts & well wishes & also for everyone's honest advice!
I was supposed to be married in May (5 months from now) and when we received news that my husband's father is terminally ill, we chose to move the wedding up and then had about 2 months to throw it together. I guess I'm proof that you can plan the most AMAZING beautiful, memorable, emotional, elegant wedding in 2 months time. But I couln't have done it without everyone on this board who gave some amazing advice. THANK YOU!!
The wedding really was unbelievable. There was not a dry eye during the ceremony & Adam's dad was in great spirits & still in good enough health to really enjoy his son's wedding. It was a day I'll play over and over in my head probably every day for many years.
My advice: always remember what is most important about your wedding day - celebrating life with those you love and bringing together two families & creating a new beautiful union.
Boy, when did I become so emotional?? ;-)
