? on introducing a new food

When you give a new food do you still feed your baby the old one with it or just the new one only? Like if I'm starting a new veggie can I give the one he had already for lunch & the new for dinner? Or are you supposed to only give the same food?
Did that make sense??

it made sense. I would introduce new foods and once I was sure that it was tolerated I would add another to her menu. I would mix and match the ones that she got but only after a few days of having the new food.

yes, give one food and give onl that food for 3 consecutive days with NOTHING else new, once you've jumped that hurdle and allergy can be rules out introduce another food. I sue to give my daughter squash for lunch and dinner for 3 days in a row and then once she was fineI'd give her carrots for lunch and squash with dinner. Good luck!!!!

Thank you! That was what I was looking for.
Did you give foods in any particular order?

I gave Caiden cereal around 3.5-4 months old. Then after a couple of weeks, well probably 1 week I also started to give him vegetables. He did so good eating the cereal. He was a pro at that from the beginning. Then around 5 months I introduced fruits and then about at 6.5 months I just started giving him the meats and vegetables. I did only give him one kind of vegetable at a time for a few days to make sure he wasn't allergic.
