Hey Maryann! First thing- wear a button down shirt- you don't want to be pulling anything over your head!
It's tricky bc normally I would say hair first. This way it's off your face and with the hot rollers and blow drying if you perspire a little then you can just wet-wipe your face.
If your getting airbrushed makeup then you can get the hair done first but you would have to put the viel on after so that you don't get makeup on that.
You can also get the hair, do the makeup, and go back to the hair to get the viel and headpiece put on.

Hair, definitely! All that hairspray that gets all over you... you want the makeup artist to wipe your face off first, then apply the makeup. Plus, I wanted it on as late as possible so it was fresh for pics!

I am having my hair done first, then the tiara, then my makeup and last will be my veil because its a cathderal length.

I had hair done first, and then I was told to clean my face before the makeup application.
The veil wasn't put in until after I had my dress on.

The woman that is doing my hair said she was going to set my hair in rollers first, then have me sit for makeup while she does MOH hair. Then finish my hair while MOH has her makeup done, and the other two girls will get done simultaneously (one hair while the other does makeup and vice versa).

Whenever I have been in a wedding party's I have had my hair done first them makeup...

We're doing our hair first because my sister is doing everyone's makeup back at my mom's after we all get our hair done.

I did my hair first. It was set in rollers while the airbrushing was done, then it was finished & then my hair was styled.

I was told by a hair stylist and make up artist that the hair always gets done first. It's easier b/c it gets the hair off the face, and all the hot blowers, curlers, rollers, etc. are already used (b/c they could either make you sweat or actually melt some of the make up off). Not to mention the hair spray that will get all over your face, forhead and arms during your hair.
If you are worried about your veil getting in the way-- have them do your hair, make up and then put the veil on with your dress. You can place a tiara beforehand, that won't get in the way.
