On the fence

I have two places picked out.......

One accomodates 300 people okay building its a firehouse

the second one is on the bay....beautiful senery for the ceremony as well but the problem is it only accomodates 140........

Should i sacrafice my guestlist to half for a location i want or say....the hell with it and have it at location one where i can invite everyone.

Please help me!!!!!!

that's tough - have you made a list of 'must-invite's? How many are on that list? If all of those people have to be invited, I think you should keep looking for a place that you LOVE that can accommodate the whole guest list.

ok think about it this way.. you have a place you love, but what happens if it rains, then you are still inside anyway and you have half of what you wanted there for your guests. I would say keep looking anyway but maybe do the firehouse, and just have some fantastic decor... HTH!

it depends if you cut the list, would you truly miss not having those people? For me I dont care how much I love the place, if the people that matter most to me cant all be there I would feel like somethings missing.....but if your cutting people that arent truly important to you then go for the place!

that's tough... the differences are so great! 140-300 people... are there any places that you can find a happy medium? sorry to make it more confusing, but maybe you can find a place that you love and can hold more than 140 people.

it's difficult to say w/o more information. do you have 150 people you can cut from your guest list without making a lot of people mad? beyond that i think you really have to go with your instincts--do the extra people or the place take priority?

I agree with the girls above. You have to really weigh out the importance. If at the end of the day you can picture your wedding with half of those people not there than go for it, but if you are going to regret it then either have the wedding at the larger venue or find a larger venue you love. GL!

I think if you want to cut the list, then you luck out a little bit with the actual cost of the wedding. I would go with the 140 max.-thats just me though.
