On the fence about favors...
I was decided on not doing them at all, but one of my BM insists that you have to at least have a 'little something'...is anyone not doing them??

I am going to do them, but only because I am a little crafty and have a whole year to get it done.
We weren't originally going to do them, we were going to make a charitable donation instead but then I saw stained glass pumpkins that I loved in a store and now my Dad is going to replicate them for our favors.
we are doing favors, but my mom and i are making them ourselves. it is still not inexpensive, so i would understand why you would want skip favors. but i agree that maybe you should just do something small, like a token of thanks. i dunno. maybe candy bars w/personlized wrappers or something.
I am doing favors because I love to do stuff like that. I am having bags w/ some tissue paper stuffed inside w/ the Valentines Day Hersheys kisses and Hersheys hugs and a tag tied w/ a ribbon that says 'Hugs and Kisses from the new Mr. and Mrs.' w/ our names and the date. The bags are similar to these, w/ a pic of double hearts on them.
We're giving a donation, in lieu of traditional favors, to either a cancer org or an AIDS org - or both. Once decided, we'll make up cards for each guest explaing a bit about the org and attach a metal ribbon pin (representative of the org(s) we chose) to the card.
we are doing these candle favors, they are inexpensive but they are very cute!
