on the road to recovery

i feel a little better since seeing my pro pics. like i had said before, they didnt take pics in the best parts of the hall, the whole reason why i booked that hall. however the pics i have are wonderful, and i know that SOON i am going to forget all the snafus that happened and maybe i wont get a stomach ache when someone mentions my wedding day.

u and me both
this is how I make myself feel better: in even 3 yrs I really wont care or remember much, other than some awesome shots me and G have, and the feeling of him seeing me in my dress for the 1st time
as if I really will look at all those detail shots or care that there is no shot of us in the lobby of the RH, u know?

Caitlin!!!! It makes me so sad to hear that you feel this way I feel like Ive been on a rollercoaster of emotions since the wedding...even DH has been going through something I was so elated on the wedding day, even the things that went wrong didnt bother me....then on the honeymoon it just felt so surreal that the wedding was over and we were actually on the honeymoon....and since we've been home i feel like ive been in a daze and maybe in a depression because all the excitement is gone ( i mean wedding day excited not married life excitement) ....and from what I remember you posting about a few days after your wedding it seemed like all little snafus that shouldnt make you feel so sad

Oh man Erin, you too! Thats a good attitude to have.

My biggest issue was that i felt so ill all day from my tight dress. Since I have so many physical issues to begin with, it affected my reaction to all the other snafus that occurred and just soured everything else. had i been feeling well, i would have handled everything else really well.

There seems to be an epidemic of depression on the 2010 boards. Janis you are right, we need drinks. Big big drinks.

We had snafus too! Especially with the pictures, but what can you do? We didn't take any pictures outside our hall, which was always kind of the plan, but it was a nice day, I wish we would have. Also, we didn't get any pictures of the CH, but that's because the photogs were with us in the ballroom taking pictures! Also, they took scenic shots in the ballroom while the dj was messing with the lighting so it looks like we have bright green uplighting in a few pics . . . but I'm trying to focus on the positive and that the pictures we do have are beautiful. Also, someone crushed my hair during the receiving line!! It was just NOT the same after that and was falling out all night. I wish I could remember which of our overzealous family members ruined my hair . . .

I feel the same way about my pics. I have some amazing shots but they definately missed some stuff and I was really upset about it. I am trying to think positive and remind myself what that day was all about. It's not about the wedding its about the marriage and if you are happy then all those snafus will be forgotten. I have to say I have never been happier even after a few tears over the pics and it was nice that it was DH that was there to tell me it would be okay

KIM!!!! You got your pictures?!?! I'm sure you and Joe looked amazing and all of the pictures that you do have will make up for the few that didn't make it.

Can't wait to see them

OMG!!!!!! I keep thinking about the photos that I know were not taken. . . I am dying to see my pictures - I feel like it has been forever. I hope I like them as much as I like my e-pics.

I know what you mean erin - the wedding day is a blur to me right now. and the first 4 days of our HM I could not sleep (well I woke up at 6am everyday) thinking about the few things that went wrong (nothing that serious) but things happen, and the day of I did not let any of that get to me - but I was stressing about them on the HM.

the wedding and HM feel so long ago - do any of you feel like that?

Even barbiegirl who had 3 photogs had some pics missing...

Everything that bothered me about my wedding day was my own fault so i cant really complain

Awwww your pics are gorgeous. What areas did they miss?

Maybe a trash the dress at The Woodlands to get all the shots you missed? Do you think they would go for it?

YES!!! I do feel like it was forever ago...so weird.

The first too days of the honeymoon DH and I only talked about the wedding....we even spent one whole morning looking at pics on facebook lol. I didnt really stress about the little things that went wrong until I got home and talked to family and friends about it.
