On the topic of tips...

Someone please post WHO all these people are that you are tipping and if you don't mind answering, how much? These vendors and services are charging so much as it is, I find it amazing that they expect tips on top. I would really appreciate your feedback on this.

this can be a touchy issue...and I felt that way until after the wedding...I had such a great time...that I really wanted to show my appreciation for such a great day...

Thank you Yabbobay. I am still new to this site but I'm seeing a lot has been written about tips. Your suggested thread is great and I will do more searching to figure this all out. I keep telling my daughter what I'm learning from you girls and her head is spinning. We have so much to learn.

I am getting the idea that some vendors include a gratuity which means tips are included, and if the owner does the work, no tip there either. Just the hired help or the assistants get something. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hair woman: $20.00
Nail lady: $10.00
Makeup: $25.00
florist: $20.00 (delivery guy)
Photographers: $50.00 each (had 2 of them)
musicians: $50.00 each (had 10 of them)
Officant: $50.00
Bridal Attendant: $100.00
Executive staff of catering hall (chef, maitre'd, captains) $1200.00
Limo drivers $50.00 (because they were great)
