On the Way Home

from dance lessons, FH says to me, 'so why is that you're okay with me playing baseball, but you have a problem with my bachelor party being the weekend before the wedding?' So, I tell him - the best man. FH then proceeds to explain that he has broken his hand, his foot and his collarbone playing baseball, and that contrary to my belief that this league he just decided to join ends in August, the playoffs will actually be going on during our honeymoon, and he has a game 5 days before the wedding.

Before I totally lose it, someone please tell me he won't have a black eye, or a broken bone on our wedding day. Or should I just tell him, he can't play in September and October?

I would have a problem with that too. Fh was invited to crew on a race boat the weekend before. I said to him if you break ANYTHING I will be severely P-O'd.

I wouldn't worry too much.....and this is coming from someone who you know has a sprained foot and no cartilage left in her knee 12 days before her wedding!!!

I seriously doubt he will end up playing the game 5 days before the wedding. I think you both will have too much going on and he won't be able to give the game his full concentration. And knowing his competitive attitude, I can't see him playing if he can't give 100%.

Don't worry too much about it!! You can cross the September bridge when you come to it!!
