I booked with genesis events
For photographer I have a list of like 15 vendors to see! I am cheaping out on pictures bc that is not most important to me. I want to try to stay under $1300 but I don't want a lot. Ill strt to make appts for august and I will keep you posted about the ones I meet with

We're booking with Genesis Events on Monday!!!!
So far only have 2 apts with photographers, but plan on making more.....
I think we're gonna be spending like 6K on pictures/video....the pictures are super important to me and my mom lol.

has anyone found a good videographer? I love AJ, but as we all know that's out ![]()
I've looked at suggestions from other future brides but I haven't been too impressed- I wasn't gonna get video in the first place, so if we are gonna do it I want it to be really nice!

starting to breathe again...
i contacted a few photographers. one that i contacted was VERY nasty and i could hear the man huffing and puffing on the line...soooo sorry to inconvenience you with vendor questions! anyway, he was wayyyy over my budget so when i told him my range he laughed and told me i'll never find a photographer for that price with 'all the things' that i want.. (all the things? i asked if they were available on my date and if they could accommodate my dj for a dinner slide show)
i thanked him for his time and now was determined to find what i want...in the end i contacted 54 photographers!!!!! After price quotes, personality clashes, and whatnot, i have 17 appts, 3 I am waiting on callbacks, but I am not reaching back out to those companies either.

You HAVE to visit with Gil from fade to black, i love him.
I have an apt with Thomas Paul and Lawrence next week. I want to see Duet and Deja Vu.
So thats 5 total apts, but i have a feeling we will be going with Gil. If we book with him by sept 2 we get a second videographer for free!!!! Hense i'm trying to get all my photo guys lined up!

Check out J Castillo Films - www.jcastillofilms.com. They do AMAZING videos. It's the kind of video that you'll watch it over and over again. Talk to JayR or Sigh they are both nice people and very talented. You'll love 'em. :)

To me the photo and video are a huge part. They will be the only visual memories we'll have for the rest of our lives. I really want video also because even though I may not watch it over and over but I know I will def watch it from time to time over the years. Esp when FH and I have kids in the furture. We'll be able to show them their mom and dad getting married. Its a way to re-live our special day and to actually feel in the moment. Something a picture can't do as well as a live video. Plus when we get older it will be nice to see us in our younger days.. lol.

FH and I just booked GT modern creations for our videographer. theyre fairly new to the game but the trailers are great and have great reviews. I wasnt too sure about spending the money on video but FH wants it and you cant beat their price
