Re: on topic of job interviews and thank yous
My hubby just interviewed people for a teaching positions and he's not the principal. If you have the time write to all 12 or the main ppl b/c they all weigh in on the decision (he told me that they went by the majority so the principal weighed their opinions heavily).
and should I use a note card...or business letter?

Re: on topic of job interviews and thank yous
my DH was on the teaching interviewing committee for 2 years and he never received a thank you. He says that by the time you walk out of the interview, they know if they want you to go further or not. By the end of the day, they have picked the ones they liked best. A thank you will not influence them, unless you are not thier first choice and later on when another job opens up, they might call you.
I just went through the interviewing proces all over in my district b/c I changed tenure areas and I never sent a thank you to anyone. I guess it's a bit different with me since I knew all of the people, but I never thought of it.
I don't think it will make or break you. Don't stress over it. If you write one, you can send one letter to the interview committee (since you don't remember their names) in a business letter format.
Best of luck!
Lora
PS- where did you interview?

Yes!! Write a thank you!!
I think you'll be fine writing one just to the principal. Maybe write something like please thank the panel for their time/for the opportunity to meet them.
So...how'd it go? I'm sure you knocked them off their feet!!

funny, but the job I got is the only one I DIDN'T write a thank you for (it all happened so quickly, I didn't have a chance!)
