On your menu...

Did you list the cake flavors? Or just put 'wedding cake' as the dessert?

we didnt do custom menus we used the ones from the RH so it wasnt specific... but i think it would be cool to put a description.. vanilla cake with choclate, topped with fondant.. etc...

we wrote a description of the cake with the flavors on our menus... but then the bakery messed up the cake so it didn't match what our menus said!

yeah, we wrote down the flavor ...

just as a note though - we were originally going to have two diff flavors (one per tier) ... the RH said they just randomly serve the cake though so the guests can't choose ... if you have multiple flavors, find out how your RH serves it ... if they don't let people have a choice, do not put the flavors on the menu.

ETA: we ended up choosing just one flavor because we didn't want diff guests to get diff cakes ... that's why wrote the flavor on the menu.

Hmm...I know that people can't pick the flavors but I thought it would be nice to let them know what the cake flavors are...like, I just like to KNOW

lol, i know what you're saying ... i just feel like this could lead to some disappointments (if someone hates vanilla but gets it .... and sees that there were other options) ...
