I agree. If they don't have insurance it is their responsibility to file for insurance and if they don't that means you and FH have to sign for them ans assume responsibilty if something happens.

IMO I would not put myself through that. If they don't have insurancr then I would look elsewhere. Too risky.

I agree, DJ's should have insurance if not then I wouldn't even use them.

Are you talking about the insurance that your Rh told you to make sure the dj has? if so then don't worry they take care of all that themselves.

No I meant liability insurance. We’re dealing with the MC and he's providing the DJ so he wasn't sure if the DJ had insurance and I know there's this thing about getting one-day insurance for vendors. Now I'm personally extremely against it because if he doesn't have insurance then how professional can he be?! I mean it's such a trivial thing. But FH really likes the MC so I just thought to check it out but we prob won't go with him if he's not insured.

i would be worried if he doesnt have insurance? i mean does he have any experience doing weddings and these sort of parties? if he doesnt have insurance then that to me would mean he has never done this type of event bc well all RH's want to see the liability insurance. I would also ask about what experience he has and to tell you the truth, this is not your job. If they dont have insurance then its their responsibility to get it and find out how. As a businessperson I would expect them to know these things and handle their own priorities. You already have enough on your plate and dont have to worry about how to get a dj insured. As a dj who wants to work at weddings, this is something he should know about.
