I failed the one hour glucose today, and now have to take the three hour.. did anyone else fail and if so did you do anything different to help you with the three hour?
ETA: How funny reading this, i havent been Li weddings in awhile, i been on li families. Well i failed my 3 hour, and had Gestational diabetes... they told me my dd would be big, last sono said almost 9lbs... is all i can say, she was only 7lbs 5oz and came day after due date on her own..

Try fasting. I know they say you don't have to, but 3 of my friends didn't fast and failed the 1 hour and had to go for the 3 hour. Needless to say I fasted for mine, went first thing in the morning and passed.

I came in first thing in the morning and fasted.
I think they said it really doesnt matter what you do.. if your going to fail youll fail.. you cant like change the results in one day or so. I dont know.
I did hate the 3 hour test. They took my blood when I got there and then made me drink the drink.. then they took my blood once every hour.
I failed one of the hours and passed the other 2 or 3 so they said I passed... I have no idea how it works. Im just glad its over.
It was a royal PITA. Bring reading material because they will not let you leave once you start and I had to sit in the waiting room.

I am pregnant with my 2nd 29weeks. With my first and this one I failed the one hour and I fasted for both of them. The 3 hour I passed both times. I just have no luck with the one hour so I HAD to sit through the tortourous 3 hour. My advice is BRING a water bottle and sip water throughout the whole 3 hours it helped me with the nausau and took the nasty taste out of my mouth.

they said i wasnt allowed to drink during the test. and now i have failed the 3 hour, they said i have gestational diabetes and sent me to a dietician and have a horrible diet im on and have to take my blood four times a day but if this is all i have to worry about then im happy. Worse things out there that people have to deal with.

aww im sorry that stinks. Im surprised they wouldnt even let you have a little bit of water. Those mean people.

I hated that test. I have EXTREMELY bad morning sickness ( I throw up the whole 9 months non-stop) and not eating a small snack makes it far worse, I hated the FASTING!! Needless to say I was sick the whole day after the damn test. There has to be an easier way to do that?

I passed my 1 hour and they made me take the 3-hour 3 times and passed!!!! But they thought I might have gestational diabetes but I just ended up having a big baby!.
