one Italian girl & one Jewish boy need your help

I don't know how to dance the Tarantella & FH doesn't know how to dance the Hora .... yes, I know it's bad.

someone please help us! .. 3 more days til the wedding

no one knows how to dance the tarantella

you just hold hands - circle left, circle right and then come together in the middle and back out, repeat

then everyone pairs off and 'do si do's'

repeat from beginning LOL

so is the hora the same? does no one really know it?

Yeah I guess no one really knows either of them. I mean my parents are both off the boat & my dad doesn't even speak english only italian & they have no clue about the tarantella either.. We can probably get away with doing the same movements in a circle for both dances..lol

I found this on the hora, it's the same concept but you don't branch out and do si do. No one really knows how to do this either. You won't need to actually do the hora as much because you'll be in the chairs

the best way to learn is by watching.
it's a circle dance (as most jewish/israeli dances are)

I'm catholic married to a jewish boy. We dance Hora

lock each other arms and skip around in circle

then you sit on a chair and they will lift you up. Make sure they don't lift you too high that your head will hit the cealing

(no, we didn't do that at our wedding... but we COULD have )

Just youtube it, and do a couple dry runs in your living room. you'll be fine

There's nothing to really 'learn' with a hora. EVERYONE will come out on the dance floor and hold hands and move in a circle,and that's really it. There'll be so many people on the dance floor most likely that you can't really do much else so don't even worry about it. And like the above poster said, someone will grab chairs for the both of you and you'll be hoisted up in the air. Honestly, don't sweat it one bit.
