So today was NOT my best food choice day but I still have 8 days till my monthly weight-in. Does anyone else DREAD the weigh-in part of their OB appts?

When my best friend was pregnant she used to be up all night the night before her weigh ins because she was panicked over what her OB was going to say. It's not even that he was mean, it was just the subtle implication that maybe she had gained too much weight that made her miserable. I am so sorry, michelle. I know you have mentioned before about 'weight issues' - more psychologially speaking I think. I can totally sympathize with that and I am sure this must be very hard for you. I don't have any good advice, just a hug to send. Hang in there, this is for your beautiful little peanut!

I HATE weigh in time. I refuse to look at the scale. Patrick lets me know how much I've gained (6 lbs so far) but doesn't tell me how many pounds I am.

I, too, hate weigh-ins... I lost 65 pounds getting ready to TTC, and I swear I'll gain it all back!! OK, maybe not *all* of it, but it's been ugly so far.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Michele, since we have the same MW, I know EXACTLY how you feel!! I don't even weigh myself at her office anymore, I told her that we should go by my scale at home and she's fine with that

Re: One Kit Kat and Hostess Apple Pie later....
I have always had major issues with my weight (mostly mental)! I was really concerned how I would handle the weight gain and balance good nutrition with my fear of fat. And when I found out it was twins I freaked. In the beginning, I would come back from each weigh in and try to allocate each pound under the list of babies, placentas, etc. Plus, because one was right on my stomach, I was never hungry. I had to set an alarm to remind me to eat (the one time you can eat well...). But I kept gaining. Finally, I told the nurse I didn't want to know the amount. I kept my eyes closed on the scale. I told her if it's too much or too little (yea, right) we could discuss it, but other than that it was very bad for my mental health to know the numbers. I was big as it was, as it was twins and people constantly commented. My visits became less stressful.
Plus, the weight number became such a competitive thing with some women I knew.
So in the end, I don't know the total amount I gained during the pregnancy and I NEVER want to!

Re: One Kit Kat and Hostess Apple Pie later....
I hate the weigh-in. When I started out in this pregnancy I spoke with a friend and he suggested that I ask the doctors and the nurses not to tell me the weight or the weight gain or loss, because it was ruining my attitude about being pregnant vs. being fat. I have always had an issue with my weight, and pre-pregnancy I was right where I was supposed to be for a while. Meaing, I was happy with the way I looked. So, anyway, to make a long story short: I don't know how much I've gained and I don't want to know...as soon as I can, after the baby is born, I am going back to WW....I am a lifetimer and back to my old ways of eating and running and the like.....
So, I hate the weigh in process!

Oh, Michelle .... this is the worst. I feel like I'm even more a slave to the scale now than ever before. I had such a bad month last month that I gained A LOT of weight! I've been checking now about every week to see where I'm at, but its very difficult.
I think b/c I made a lot of changes in my diet right away. I stopped eating FF dressing, cheese, yogurt etc. and went to the regular kind. I'm also not enjoying foods the way I used to. What I loved isn't really doing for me anymore, so its hard to make good choices. But I've started excersizing again, so I'm hoping that helps. I've been really stressed about this ...
