The guy that plays Michael now...isn't he the same actor that played Al? I know that when Al died he had the chance to come back to earth but in Michael's body. And I know Marcie now knows. So when others characters look at Michael do they see Michael or Al? Or is he just Michael and Al is totally gone, but it's the actor that played Al? I'm confused!

LOL I am an OLTL fan.
Al died and the guy who plays Al / Michael left the show. There was a diff actor who played Michael. Then the fans complained and brought the original guy who played Al back to play Michael (Nathan something his real name is).
The spirit of Al was in Michael's body and fell in love with Marcie. We see AL but the characters see Micheal. Al's spirit convinced Marcie on Valentines Day that she should move on and that she and Michael would get married someday and have kids. It was so romantic! So now Michael and Marci are together.

I knew all that up until the Valentine's Day thing. I thought she knew it was Al's spirit in Michael's body. But I thought that both actors were playing Michael --- now it's just the Nathan guy? That's really confusing.
So now is Michael only Michael or is Al still in his body????

I was talking to my friend last night about it and she doesn't watch it regularly (she's a GH fan like myself) but she said she thinks everyone sees him as 'Michael' but we see him as 'Al' yet they all just call him 'Michael' and she thinks that the writers are just hoping that over time we'll forget he's really 'Al' in Michael's body.

Marcie does not know it was Al in Michael's body - after the Valentines Day experience, she did not remember. Al's spirit is no longer in Michael - 'his work was done' so he went to heaven or whatever lol.
Vicki had to have a heart transplant - and whaddya know, Ben (her hubby who has been in a coma for years) passed away and they were able to use his heart - AND 'for reasons we dont know' he had it tested years ago to see if he and Vicki were a match! Talk about wacky but I still love OLTL!
