One more question -- memorial table -- Jewish wedding
Both FH and I have lost a parent. We want to have a small able to the side with a picture of my dad and his mom. Is it rude to not include grandparents? I love my mom's parents, but they are not the same as a parent. FH didn't know all of his grandparents.
We will also have a frame with a beautiful poem someone on here posted.
I thought we'd also light a candle -- again, don't know if that is a religious thing or not. Can a candle be lit at the memorial table at a Jewish wedding? I see some people ordered all sorts of fancy, personalized candles. Is it OK if we have a plain one next to the frame with the poem and the pictures?
I am Jewish, but very reform, and I'm not sure about all customs and don't want to offend anyone at all. Thank you!

I don't anything about customs, but look at bride lucamon ...in her album she has a beautiful simple memorial table set up.

Having a memorial candle is completely 'within' jewish law. No rabbi should have a problem with that. I'm going to be doing a simple candle in a hurricane for mine. Maybe wrap some ribbon around it if you feel it's too simple? I'm having my grandparents and cousin who passed away on the memorial table. I feel its something that you could do, but no necessary. If you want to include them in the memorial table but would like to further honor your parents who passed, you could order a bouquet picture frame (a small frame that attaches to the wrapping on your bok) with a pic of your parents. Feel free to fm me if you have more questions.
