One more STD Question

Ugh, I'm being so annoying today.

Location:

Do you normally put the town the ceremony is in, or the town the reception is in, if different?

Or, considering that most people receiving are OOT, just Long Island, New York, since neither town will mean anything to them?

My mother says I should put:
Ceremony-Greenlawn
Reception- Holbrook

but I think that's way too wordy and awkward.

Thoughts?

I think you just put information about the location, like Greenlawn/Holbrook, NY. I can't 100% answer this one because we're having everything at the RH.

I am also having my Ceremony at the RH. I tried doing a search and am not having luck coming up with an answer. Where are your hotel accommodations for OOT guests?

The hotel will most likely be the Holiday Inn Islip/MacArthur, in Ronkonkoma...but I haven't blocked anything yet so I will not be including that on the STD, just the wedding website once it's booked, and in the formal invites.

I didn't put any information about where. I just figured people would assume the wedding would be relatively close to where I live???? I think if you are having a lot of people come in from out of state you may want to put a location? Or if it was a destination wedding?

Mine said only the date.

sorry i just saw that you said you have out of towners....I once recieved a STD that had the hotel accomadations and everything inside with it. Maybe you can do that?

I think you put the town of the RH, since that will be the bulk of where everyone will be spending most of their time.

I just put Long Island, New York on my STD. If you wanted to be specific, I guess I would put the town where the reception is...if you are worried about people making hotel arrangements. I would rather have a hotel closer to the RH than the church.
