My SIL bought me a jewelry cleaner at the mall and it works great. I have also cleaned it like this. Take a microwave safe bowl and put in it a solution of 2/3 water 1/3 windex. Heat it up in the microwave, then place your ring in this for a few minutes. Comes out nice and sparkly.

I just boiled some water on top of the stove (no chemicals). Hanged my ring on top of the steam with a stick for a few minutes. Voila!
