I'm interested in checking out a one-night cruise around manhattan or long island - does anyone have any recommendations?

They do the cruises in May and October, but for the price they charge, you would be better off going to to Florida for a 3 day cruise.

Re: One-Night Cruise
My girlfriends and I took the Spirit City cruises around Manhattan one year. The food wasn't to die for, but it was a nice experience. the boat passes by the statue of liberty and slows down so you can take pics. It's also nice to just be outside on the boat on a nice night with a drink in your hand. Very affordable too, considering you are served a full course meal

Yes Norwegian cruise line does do one in Oct. My FH and I went on a one day cruise with Norwegian cruise line in Oct. It was ok nothing big. The water was very ruff though so everyone looked like they were drunk. It was funny in a way. There also isn't much to do on those one day cruises. You get bored after a while. We had funny though I just don't think I would do it again.

we did this for my grandfather's 90th birthday.
they went passed the sugar house (domino) where he worked for 30 years! he was beyond thrilled... it was beautiful, there was dancing- we had a nice time... and i agree with the above- the food was just OK.
