One of my bridesmaids is 4 months pregnant. By my wedding in November, she will be 7 months pregnant. I sorta think that's a little too much running around.
Thoughts? I haven't had the time to speak to her about this, and i'm not really maternity aware. So I don't even really know what goes on at the 7 month mark.. i mean, 28 weeks.
Any bridesmaids in a motherly way?

Re: One of the bridesmaids
I'd just ask her how she wants to handle it. 'Round these parts, we have women coming in to work the day before they're due.

Re: One of the bridesmaids
I've paid and ordered both dresses.
The Reception bridesmaid dress has already been ordered... and the ceremony dress is already here. To get another ceremony dress, I would have to order, and it might not make it in time.
She's clearly not going to fit into the dresses. I guess I'll have to talk to her about how she feels.

Re: One of the bridesmaids
My cousins cousin was due a month after my cousins wedding and she was a bridesmaid. I would say speak to her and see if she wants to still be involved.

Re: One of the bridesmaids
pregnancies differ by women: some want to stay active until the very last minute, others would rather take it easy the whole time - I guess I would just ask her how she feels - it is a long day especially for a pregnant woman to be on her feet and dresses arent really the most comfortable thing to wear

Depends on where you got your dress.....My FSIL will be almost 8 months preggo when I walk down the isle. She has already ordered her dress and David's Bridal took it back no problems and ordered her a new one........No questions asked!! I never thought it would be so easy.........

Re: One of the bridesmaids
There are a lot of things they can do with dresses these days to make them fit - adding panels on the sides, making a corset back, etc. I don't think it's an issue. I have one BM who is just going into her 4th month and another who will have had a baby a month before the wedding. I love them both and can't imagine my day without them. Obviously their health and their babies' health comes first so I told them if they have any problems they don't have to worry, but the dress thing is the least of it. I don't care if they wear blue jeans if they can be there.

I would just have a sit down with her and ask her about it. Let her know that you just want to take her best interests at heart when it comes to her and her baby. Some people have no problem working till and right after their delivery.

My MOH (sister) was 7 months pregnant at my other sisters wedding and she was fine. She was the MOH for that one too and still was able to do all of her duties as MOH. She even danced the night away at the reception. I think if you are worried about it I would talk to her. I wouldn't make her feel like you are pushing her out of the wedding though. I am sure she will still want to be part of your day.
