Are most of you having one or two photographers? We're having about 170 people at our wedding. I have no clue whether two is necessary or one is good enough. Thanks!
standard ususally says 1 photographer per 75-100 guests but its completely up to you....I have a pre-mailing list of 280...minimum requiurement of 200. hired 2 photogs and 1 video.... i really based it on the fact that i wanted 1 traditional photographer and 1 jouranlistic photographer....

I have one- but I'm also having a videographer, and zap shots by the dj at the reception- so I think I'm covered. And I'm having probably around 30pl more....

I have 2 plus a lighting assistant. I am using Artisan Photography. They are an LiW and they are just awesome! Great prices, packages and you have to meet CHUCK!!! He is great

I have 2 photographers and 2 videographers with 230 guests attending. 1 photographer for main shots, 1 for candid. 2 videographers to capture two angles.

I would say 2 with that amt of guests...we are having 2 for ~150

I say go with two no matter how small or big the reception. Theres a lot going on for one photographer to catch everything.

We plan to have about 100 guests (if we can keep it down to that) and we are still using two photogs. Twelfth Night made it affordable.

I always like 2 - no matter what size the wedding. Like during the vows, you want pictures of both of your faces. We're having 2. 1 will shoot more portraits and one is more photojournalistic.

We got 2 photographers -- one who is the head of the company but his specialty is more of the posed/portrait type of pics, and then a photojournalist to do the more creative stuff. We are having a really small wedding, but photography was just too important to me!
