one photographer or two?

i really wanted two photographers, but is it really necessary? i want to hear from those past brides that had one and that had two; all the pros and cons from every angle.

we had two and it was actually great. she caught it from different angles. ill show you an example. lotsa others tho.

while our main photog was doing our formal portraits, the second photog got these pics of me and my sisters and then one of us with my mom. i love them.

she also got my fav pic of our guys, which is in the knot's best of weddings mag right now.

these are just examples, but they def capture diff angles and moments that maybe your main photog would miss otherwise. if you can have another photog, its a great perk. if not, its fine too!! its not 'necessary.'

definitely two. i had two at my e party and im really happy with the outcome. they were able to capture every special moment. theres really no cons.... well, expect you will have to pay for one more plate.

i only booked one but got two the day of and i am kinda glad it worked that way. One photographer was strong with the posed shots that you kinda need and one was great for the photojournalism aspect.

But there are plenty of photographers who can do both very nicely.

I had two and it was the best money I ever spent. The pics were really important to me and I decided it was the one thing I was going to slurge on. DH and I don't 'pose' very well and we tend to tense when we have our picture taken - the second photog's proofs are my favorite because they are all photojournalist shots and we look totally natural in them - both my photogs got some great shots. And like they always say, two is better than one. In my opinion, if you can afford it, def go for it - you never hear a bride say 'damn, I have too many proofs'

I did one and it was the biggest mistake I made in planning my wedding. Definitely do 2 photographers.

No matter what the photographer says to reassure you they can shoot the wedding, they can not physically be in 2 places at once so therefore they can not possibly take all the pics that you would want from all the angles. So rather than be pissy about it later like I am, get the 2 photographers.

I had 2 b/c I really wanted to see pics from a different angle and see what was going on around us that we couldnt see. Both of my photographers did a great job of catching priceless moments

Iam having two. One is actually going to go by Fh house and take pics of the guys getting ready! And the ohter will be with me! SO excited!

I had one and I don't regret it at all- I think it really depends on how many people you're planning to have and also how large your bridal party is- DH and I had kept the bridal party small and also only had 115 guests at our wedding.

Our photographer got every shot we wanted and then some- we ended up with like 500+ proofs to choose from.
