ONE WAY STREET

Does anyone live on a oneway street? what are the pros and cons??

The only one way street i live on is the one with FH sorry to be depressing he has been intolerable this weekend

I used to live on a one way street in Queens.

The pros are that there will never be as much traffic as a 2 way street !
and the cons are that we had to go ALL the way around the block to get home, instead of just turn in to our block. (my brother used to reverse down the block on those deep dark nights that he got home at 4am... )....

I cant think of any other issues really...

my old apartment was in a maze of one way streets

and now...the block before me was just turned into a oneway...so while I can go either way on my block...once I get to the corner I have to turn...

its a plus when the street is narrow and there are many cars parked and only room for one car to get down and you have crazy drivers speeding down both ways...

con is definitely turning around...

I live on a 1-way street. I like it, not too much traffic and ours is wide enough if someone double parks, other cars can still pass.
The going around the block is a pain sometimes, but I back up

I live on a 2way street that really should be a one way street (there isn't enough room for parked cars and 2way traffic!) Although it's a pain sometimes to have to pull over to let the other car through...I wouldn't want to have to go around in a circle just to get to my corner!

I think one way streets are good - less traffic=quieter.

I think its wide enough but with all the stupid snow everyone is parking all jerked up, so i cant tell.. but i think it is... the only problem is my corner is merrick road..

I lived on a one way street -- the worst was on garbage pick up days or oil delievery. The trucks block traffic entirely, and all the grumpy idiots honk their horns -- as if the garbage collectors are going to stop what they are doing and come back later. LOL.
