One wedding at a time vs. multiple weddings at a time
Does it really matter? If so, what are the reasons not to get married at a place where there is more than one wedding at a time?
This may help me consider a place that offers smaller weddings but also more than one at a time.
Edited to change question

sure! there are many benefits. no running into any other brides or parties, you're the only event going on and will get all the attention from staff members, etc. but you'll probably end up paying a premium for that.

I think it is nice that the guests aren't being ushered around to avoid other parties, or you might have people crashing your wedding because it is right next to another one...Possibly sharing restrooms with other events...Running into another bride...In some places with only 1 bridal ready room only 1 bride gets it...
ETA: I think the better question would be are there any benefits to NOT being the only wedding at a time, other than the obvious that it is often cheaper.

Re: One wedding at a time vs. multiple weddings at a time
We had our reception at the Manor East. Even though there were 2 other events going on besides our wedding we and our guests never saw anyone from the other parties. Each party has their bathroom, coat check, kitchen and staff. Also, each party started an hour and a half after each one (ex. Mine started at 5:30 so the next party did not start until 7). So for us even though there were other parties going on in the same place it never bothered us.

I feel you receive every staff members undivided attention, that was one of the most important reasons to me. Aside from that you don't have to worry about losing guests to the frenzy of another affair going on at the same time.

Re: One wedding at a time vs. multiple weddings at a time
I originally liked the idea of one wedding at a time, but when I saw what prices were for certain locations, I decided it didn't really matter that much to me. There were 3 weddings going on at my hall, but one was on a different floor, with its own entrance and bathrooms, so I really never saw anyone from that wedding. The only time I saw guest from the other wedding on my floor was when we were done taking photos and were going into the CH, but there were just a few people coming in, since that wedding had a different starting time. I did see the other brides when we were taking photos, but it wasn't a big deal and I actually enjoyed seeing one of them, since I had seen her post and FMed her on here!

I think it really depends. I don't think either will make or break a party.
You will pay more money to have 1 wedding at a time, but you have the staff's undivided attention, you have unlimited access to all of the grounds, you don't have to worry abut your photos being delayed b/c of another bride (this is also a lot in how the place handles it, if they stagger, etc).
Guests won't see other guests in the bathrom, they won't get confused about what room to go to, and you won't hear the crunk music next door when you're trying to slow dance to 'everything I do'
That having been said , some places handle multiple weddings better than others. Some places you'd never know, some places you justs ee people in the bathroom, some places from your party you can see and hear the other party (paper thin walls!), etc..so it's all in how they handle it, and it's something you won't REALLY know unless you've been to a wedding there.
i really wanted 1 wedding at a time, but seriously once your guests are in there having a good time, if the place is handling ti well, there will be no problem. My sister had her wedding at CHCC ad I think there were 2 other events going on at the time, and aside form seeing firefighters down the hall at their party (which I did NOT mind!), you really had NO idea there were any other events going on..once you're in the ballroom, the aprty's in there, not all over the place.

My hall is only one wedding at a time...and that is what I wanted....
BUT I have attended many weddings where it was more than one wedding,,and to be honest I couldnt even tell the difference..
Either way you will be fine...
Good Luck

I just wanted to add that when I go to a wedding, I don't know many of the guests, so if I saw people from 'another wedding' in the bathroom, I wouldn't necessarily identify them as from 'that other wedding'. I really don't think it matters.
FYI - I never went to the bathroom the whole night of my wedding - I guess I was just too busy!

I totally agree. It depends on the hall and how they handle it. Some have staggered times for parties as well as separate bathrooms for each event.
I attended a wedding at Fox Hollow (ceremony on site, winter garden for cocktail hour & Briar Fox for reception). I had no idea that there was another wedding and did not even know they did multiple events until FI & I went to look at the place for our wedding.
Swan Club was a little different since they do 3 events at once. I attended a wedding there and all 3 brides were on the grounds taking pics at once. My step-sister didn't care about that though since she got a good deal - $60 pp for a Sunday night in June with about 220 guests.

Its more private...
Having said that, we are getting married in a multiple weddings -at one time- place. It depends what kind of hall you wanted. The kind that I did, was just WAY over our budget to do it one wedding at a time.

Re: One wedding at a time vs. multiple weddings at a time
My cousin got married at a place that does many weddings and parties at a time.
Some of the older relatives got lost in the hall and wandered into other parties.
At the same time, several random people wandered into my cousin's wedding.

Re: One wedding at a time vs. multiple weddings at a time
I wanted to feel like the only bride in the building, obviously I know there are others getting married on the same day as me somewhere out there, but I wanted to feel like the only one and being the only bride in the building would help me feel that way
Also, I really didn't want to hear the music or band from another wedding. I went to a wedding two years ago, and we heard the dj from the other wedding in the room we were in.
But I think it's a matter of what you can afford first and foremost.

Re: One wedding at a time vs. multiple weddings at a time
I really think it's a matter of personal preference. If possibly seeing another bride will irritate you or sharing your space with another group will bother you then you might want to find a place that is one event at a time.
But, most of these halls know what what they are doing, and stagger the events appropriately so that they are not rushing people from one room to another. There will be another wedding the same day as mine, and I don't really see the big deal, but that's just my personal opinion. What is the worst that could happen? I see another woman in a pretty white dress and I compliment her. Our guests share the same lobby and bathroom? Honestly, they could care less. I don't think they pay attention to these details the way brides do.
I don't feel that I will be sharing the spotlight with anyone because my event will be in my ballroom and her event will be in her. Should I run into that other lucky bride I will be more than happy to congratulate her! No biggie!

It doesn't matter to me... Like everyone is saying...it's personal preference. I love the place I'm getting married at...I could care less if I was the only one or if I was one of a million. I love the place so much...it really didn't matter to me.

Re: One wedding at a time vs. multiple weddings at a time
I think it really depends on the hall. There will be another wedding going on the same night as us. But they are on the other side of Russo's and have their own bathroom. I'm not really too concerned. It seems pretty organized to me.
And if by some chance I do bump into the other bride...No biggie...I'll be sure to congratulate her.
