I went shopping this weekend and loved a dress that was $2100. I found it online at both netbride.com and www.victoriasbridalcouture.com for $1250. That is a huge savings but it sounds too good to be true. Anyone ever hear of these sites or use them???? $800 is an amazing savings, but i want to know that im getting the real thing

can you call the online stores and talk to a person? if you can, then i'd call and ask if they're real designer dresses or not.
if you can't speak with a human being, then i def would not buy the dress from there. Imagine something goes wrong and you can't contact anyone!

There are *very* few of those sites that are legitimate and unfortunately I don't think victoriasbridalcouture.com is one of them. It's probably a knock-off of the designer, often times made in China with inferior materials. Edited for typos.

there's a lot of online websites... that generate fakes... so be careful. that's a lot of money to spend on a dress that isn't the real thing.
look at the business bureaus for their analysis on the company.

Thanks ladies! Im so torn...i hear great things about netbride but dont know if its worth chancing it. netbride.com has a great rating with the better business bureau. Victoria couture is not rated, but i went to the designers website and they list their store as an authorized retailer (they are based on florida so i cant go to their actual location). Maybe Ill call the florida store to see what their price is if i were to try it on and buy it there...then maybe its an excuse to take a long weekend trip

i woould def call and see if i can speak with a real human being. if i can, then ask them if they are an authorized retailer of the dress that you like and how they are able to sell it for so much cheaper.

I ordered my BM dresses through netbride.com...a couple of days later I got a handwritten, personal thank you for ordering with them...so I'd say they know what they are doing.

Honestly- if you fly down to Florida to try on the dress and purchase it there, wouldn't that just negate the savings? For that, I'd just buy it here in NY. Maybe look for upcoming Trunk Shows.
