Only in New York
This morning when I climbed up the train stairs, huffing and puffing, I get to the last step and see this huge barracade of cops (uniform and in suits) standing in front of the seats I am so looking forward to seating in, because THERE'S A DEAD BODY ON THE FLOOR COVERED WITH A SHEET!!!! ![]()

The only way to go is around them, single file, with the train letting other passengers off. So now I'm trying to look straight ahead and not see this and not throw up at the same time because this is not exactly something anybody wants to see first thing in the morning -- sheet or no sheet.
It bothered me that life just went on as if nobody cared about this poor dead person. People were too busy gawking at the poor thing and not wondering whether this person had any family looking for him/her.
