I feel like I now officially work in a NYC Emergency Department....because I have an order or protection against a patient of mine.....
SO, Last night I observed this patient stealing another of my patient's Nike sneakers...me being who I am, was not going to allow this and got security involved. Long story short, he was arrested and I gave a statement to the Assistant DA. He reccomended an order of protectect, so of course I took it.
The director of my ER knows all about it, so now I just keep my fingers crossed that this jerk doesn't come back to the hospital. Problem is...he's a frequent flyer for his diabetes because he never takes his insulin, so its a matter of time before he comes back.
