only only me....NEED FAST ADVICE!

so all set to make my chili in my new crockpot (which I ordered from Fortunoff and never took out of the box...) I brown the meat and onions, have all the ingredients....

The 'crockpot' is a freaking RECORD PLAYER.

ONLY ME.

Well...of course I have invited people over for chili and corn bread...can I make it on the stove? If so...how?

I never made Chili before but I imagine you can make it all on the stove by letting it simmer in a pot all together.

Cornbread I think needs to be made in the oven.

I make chili every now and then and all I do is brown meat with onions and garlic and then add all the ingredients and let it simmer low - stirring occasionally. When I make my quick chili it is only about an hour that is necessary..not sure - I would to it til it seems the right consistency and taste.

It really cooks itself...don't forget to taste and add spices as necessary.

lol thats pretty funny : ) sounds like something I would do.

I use to make chili all the time and I just let it simmer on a large pot on the stove. Just make sure to keep stirring it and to check the liquids to make sure its not getting to dry.

I personally haven't made chili but it is a super bowl tradition in my family to have chili. My parents cook it on the stove so I think you should be ok on the stove top. We usualy put out a bowl of freshly grated cheddar cheese and some chopped red onions to put on top and it is yummy!

I always make chili on the stove-top. Just brown meat and onions--add everything else and let simmer away!! Season to taste

I had a student come into our office (this is even 5 years agao) and said his teacher needed him to get a record she left...so we pointed it out to him and he had NO idea what it was...we kept pointing at it...and finally had to get up and give it to him...
