So its Friday night and Im home alone doing nothing but organizing stuff (we moved 2 weeks ago). My you know who came today and Im just exhausted. Anyone else not going out or doing anything much tonight?

I sleep with the TV on when i'm alone...I used to be fine being alone and on my own but a couple of years ago I was working early in the morning at a doctors office (i was there alone, opening up and getting ready for the day before anyone else got there) and some guy forced himself into the office and robbed me, cornered me and threatened to kill me if I didnt give him all my money. Little did he know it was like my first week there (so i had zero dollars) and he was robbing a doctors office..how much cash does a doctors office carry!!?? oh that would be like NONE...so after I almost gave myself a heart attack, I called the cops and they came, SO every since then I am a little uneasy about being home alone. But i'm dealing pretty good with it now, since its been a few years

sorry that was a complete rambling lolThat is a crazy story! I'm glad they didn't hurt you! I wouldn't feel comfortable about being alone after that either. Seriously, probably one of the dumbest criminals ever, who robs a doctors office?

exactly!!! It screwed me up for a little..he came in, closed the door behind him so the huge crowd of people across the hall (in a pediatricians office) couldnt hear or see..so when he left I ran into the hallway to call people and then we called the cops..all of that and he made off with $20!! 20 ******** dollars..

Maybe he thought he was robbing a doctor.
screaming isn't always the best option, I'm in a criminal profiling class and the professor told us you never know how to tell people how to react in these situations because every offender is different and you have to judge the situation and the person before you decide that screaming is your best option. Sometimes it's better to do what they say and avoid them hurting you. Did they ever find the guy that robbed you?

It's ok to be a little scared when you're home alone. I do Ok when I'm by myself, however, a little earlier I was sitting on the couch on this damn computer (like I am now lol) and someone knocked on my door. I freaked out and turned everything off and ran into the bedroom hahaha im such a loser but I dont really know anyone in this apartment building, and FH has a key obviously (not to mention hes like 3 hrs away) so i didnt know who it was lol
