After reading all of the posts about whether or not to know about your bridal shower, I began to think about it. I talked to my MOH who is planning the shower with my mom and she said if I ever want to know, all I have to do is ask. All along I have said the 'surprise' aspect of it was not important to me, but I didn't want to know when it was.Well the next day I came home from work and checked the messages on the machine (I moved back home w/ mom after college). The message was like 'this is Holly calling from Lagunas restaurant, we need to select a menu for your June 29th private party'. Well there goes that surprise! At this point I knew my mom would be heart broken if she knew I knew, so I played it off like I thought it was a telemarketing company and I said I was not paying attention to the message. She believed me, and was relieved. My question is should I tell my MOH what happened? She was willing to tell me all the details if I wanted them, and is also not into the whole it MUST be a surprise. What do you think? PS- I am a little disappointed that I know when and where the shower is. Thanks! Continued success to all...

Re: Ooops!
It's understandable why you're a little dissappointed. Even though your MOH was willing to give you the scoop, I would play it off like I don't know. She doesn't need to know thta you found out the information. People worked very hard to make a nice party for you I think you should let them have it remain a surprise (at least in their eyes).

Re: Ooops!
My opinion- don't tell anyway that you know. Just enjoy the shower and the 'surprise'.

Re: Ooops!
I think since the shower is over 6 weeks away - your MOH will be going to a lot more trouble than necessary to keep it all hush - hush. Since the secret is out anyway, tell her and make her life easier.

Re: Ooops!
I had dinner w/ my MOH and one of my BM last night, she looked me in the face and said 'I know you know about your shower', so I told her the story. We both agreed not to tell my mom. I guess my mom called the place and gave them a piece of her mind! Thanks for your advice! Continued success to all...
