Re: Potential FMIL Dress Issue...
Its so weird that you say that
Over thanksgiving i was talking to someone, and they have their kids wedding coming up, and she thought that the Moms are supposed to match the bridal party
I dont think she had a clue, or maybe she has seen it done in weddings in the past but i told her that is not what people these days do

Let her wear whatever color she wants. At the end of the day is it really going to matter?
I get that you don't want her to look like the Bridal Party but what are the odds she will even find a dress she likes that comes in that specific shade of pink.
Let her shop around -- she may realize that pink isn't her color on her own and then you look like the good guy for letting her pick what she wants.

Explain to her that she should stand out by herself and wear a different color. She's the MOG for crying outloud, not in the BP! She should stand out!

Actually, come to think of it now, my mom is wearing brown and so is the bridal party and I really don't care. Maybe you can persuade her to order a much darker or lighter shade of pink than your girls are wearing? And if the girls are wearing strapless you can have her get a dress with straps or visa versa

I agree 100%!!! But I don't really want to 'tell' her what to wear... So confused!!

Well you can approach her in a way saying how since she is the MOG she might want to select another color so she stands out and people don't confuse her with the BP. This way you're not telling her to pick another color but letting her know as MOG she should be noticed.

Re: Potential FMIL Dress Issue...
I would say to her (or have your FH say to her) that you really want her to stand out from the BMs and by wearing pink, she would just blend in. Maybe you could go shopping with her to help her find a better color.

This is EXACTLY what I was going to say. Make it a play to her ego ....
