I was speaking with my family today and told them about the nightly rate for the hotel block and they said it was expensive for one night. Granted, I thought it was cheap but then I saw their point.....being a Sunday night and 20 minutes from home it was expensive.
How much is the nightly rate for your hotel block?

We are paying $144 a night at the Red Roof Inn in Westbury. Its 1.7 miles from the Chateau Briand. This is also for July 4th weekend.

Ours is $109 a night (we blocked rooms off for both sat and sun) at the Courtyard Mariott MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma.

We don't have enough OOT guests coming to do a block. I'm going to give the few that are info on hotels in the area.. probably the Hyatt in Hauppauge. They are usually between $110-120 for a Sat. night.

sheraton off motor pkwy was $139 holiday inn express in haupaugge was $119 im told wingate in brentwood is $130- if so im going with them

we got prices for sat night wedding in october for 3 hotels and they were: $199(no minimum), $209(no minimum) and $239(with a 2 night minimum)

Yes I did. I am getting ready at the hotel and taking pics there. I was blown away by their lobby (in comparison to the Sheraton). Laurie is great. I'm getting the shuttle through them too.
