OOT Bags

I have been reading that people are getting these bags for their OOTer's. Are we supposed to get bags for our OOT relatives? If so I have alot of people to for. I don't even know half these people. LOL

An out-of-town gift bag can be as elaborate or as simple as you want. Generally if lets say someone's coming from New Jersey or Connecticut and will attend your wedding/reception and leave that night back to their house they will NOT get an OOT bag, generally these bags are for guests who are spending the night in a hotel /staying a few days... etc

I think you should do what you Want to do, but i DO think its a nice gesture.

what kinda of stuff goes in it?? Like a t shirt or something?? And what kinda bag?? Like a BM's bag??

My cousin just had these. She bought plain white gift bags and put in small packages of cookies, bottles of water, advil, personalized tea bags and hand lotion.

You can put whatever you want in. They are to make your overnight guests comfortable.

I went to walmart and BJs with Fh yesterday. They had the best deals!!!! I didn't find the advil packets but found out some places that sell them (staples, minimus.biz, costco). Here are some of the things I bought (ONE large guest bag per room)

Water bottles (2 per bag)
popcorn (1 per bag)
granola bars (2 per bag)
full size candy bars (Bjs had a great deal on them) (1 per bag)
gum (1 per bag)
individual mints (those red and white ones- 3 to 4 per bag)
individual crackers and cookies (1 per bag)
individual bags of travel peanuts (1 per bag)

Still to get:
*Advil packets
tr*ying to find LI postcards or travel brochure
thi*nking of asking friend who works in cosmetics for some perfume samples
the actually bags (wrap with us has large ones for $.79 each)
tissue paper
tool to make bow
labels or tags

And of course anything else that I find!!!!! LOLOL I seem unable to stop. It was supposed to be water bottles, gum, pretzelz, granola bars, and the welcome letter!!!!!!
