OOT bags/ Bathroom Baskets

Is anyone not doing OOT bags and Bathroom Baskets?

Re: OOT bags/ Bathroom Baskets

With my Wedding 3 weeks away, I just decided on doing both of them. I was not going to, but figured my guests are spending money on a room, traveling, etc.. to share in our Wedding Day and thought it was a nice touch.

For the bathroom baskets, just kept thinking how many times I have been to a wedding and wished I had a mint or static guard, etc... so I ended up doing those as well.

I'm not doing either. They're both nice to have, but I really don't want to spend any more money then we already have.

Those are the 2 things that are on the back burner, but FH and I really want to do. We were at a wedding 3 weeks ago and while the best man was waiting for the MOH to finish her speech, his cousin swiped his pad with the speech written on it, well he ran after him to get it back and twisted his ankle, even with the booze, his ankle was hurting him pretty badly. Would you believe noone had an aspirin! I used that weddin as a what to do and not do. That is why we really want to do them. Also I figure how expensive can an OOT bag be. I bought 3 casesof water a month ago and can but those thing of snacks at BJ's or Costco and something salty, something sweet and your set!

we're only doing the OOT bags. EVERYONE is coming to us for our wedding, so 80% of our guest list IS OOT. We figured it would be a nice gesture

We''ll do both.

We have a TON of OOT guests coming, and are actually making a 'Wedding Weekend' out of it.

And I know as a guest that I always appreciate those bathroom baskets being there in a pinch, so I will do those too.

I'm going to do bathroom baskets, just because I think those are really thoughtful things that will be used in an emergency. And everything that isn't used will get reclycled at home for future trips or things like that. The OOT bags--what is the point of them other than 'look at what I spent money on?' Yes, they're very thoughtful if you have a lot of extra time and money, but I don't, and I have few out of town guests anyway.

I am not sure yet. I really want to do both, but I think I am going to wait and see until it gets closer. I just think it adds a personal touch to the wedding.

sigh, you're right .... but I already bought most of the stuff. I figured I'd treat the people spending $$$ on hotel rooms with a few goodies, and a good map of town... (especially since they'll be 'stuck in PJ' for a few days) but's it's true, they can be viewed that way too.....

alas, that's also how I view the bathroom baskets.... I guess both can be viewed in each way.....

Not doing either one

Probably just the OOT bags... since the people are spending a lot of $ to travel and come to our wedding, I feel like the least I can do is make a little something for them to be more comfortable while they're here. Nothing extravagant though.
