How do BMs who live outta state order their gowns?
My SIL lives in Virginia. Do I just go to my bridal salon with her measurements and order for her?

I have 2 OOT BM. They asked me for their measurements but said to make sure they came from a seamstress so they are accurate.. then they orderd the dress.!! :)

my fsil lives in albany- so she got her measurements done at a seamstress & emailed them to me and I brought them to the shop & they ordered the dress.
they needed bust, waist, hips (fullest point) and her height hth

That's what I did when I was an OOT bridesmaid myself. They shipped the gown to me and I was responsible for the alterations in my area.

Yes Have your SIL go to a local bridal salon to get measured. Then when you order everyone elses dresses order your SIL's t the same time.
When it comes in ship it to her and have her get fitted locally (unless she wants to come back and forth for fittings).

i have scattered BMs 2 li, 1 upstate, 1 in MA picked dress from Davids bridal so they each went to convenient store for them

She can call in with her measurements and pay with her CC.

I had a NJ girl, call in her measurements to the store, but I let my 2 Florida BM's order right from an Alfred Angelo store (which is the designer of the dresses). They won't be dyed with the others, but just how different could it possible be, ya know?

You can do that or pick a store that is in Virginia such as davids bridal.

I have 3 OOS BMS - I used Paradise Bridals and this is what we did.
I picked the gown. The 3 girls called and gave their measurements (they each went to a taylor to be measured) over the phone, all info etc. Paradise faxed a form for them to fill out with credit card info, consent to order the dress and for me to pick it up. One of the OOS girls was preggo and they took into account how far along she was, if it was her first and if she was going to breastfeed.
When the gowns came in I told the girls to mail me a check with their remaining on it ( i actually did this 2 weeks prior to the est. ship date) and when they came in i cashed the checks, paid for each dress with cash and then gave them to one of the Bms moms to be shipped.
Thats exactly what I did.
A good thing for the OOT BMS to do is pay for their dresses 100% when ordering, so when it comes in u can just pick it up and ship it!

My BM is in VA too. She got measured and called in her dress. When it came in, she paid an extra $20 for them to ship it to her.

I was in the same situation as you..one of my BM's lives in Virginia too. What I did was gave her the places that Bridal Reflections would need her measurements for like waist, bust..etc..then she went to a bridal salon and got the measurements the place needed. She called Bridal Reflections herself and gave them the info.

One of my BM's is also in Virginia, she went to a bridal store in Manassas and got her measurements taken, once that was done I ordered her dress up here with everyone else's so the colors are the same. The when it come time for fittings she will either come up to visit or I'll ship the dress to her.
