THose of you who have bridesmaids that live out of town...did you let them order it from a local place or did you have them do it over the phone? Does it really matter?
My one BM wanted to leave a deposit then pay over time...but the rest of them are ordering from Phyllis at Bridal Elegance who, I think, takes the whole cost up front.
Anyway, please share your OOT BM experiences.

My sis lives in New Hampshire. I ordered her dress NO FRILLS from RK Bridal..paid for it and when it came in I shipped it to her. She had her alterations done up there and sent me a check for the price of the dress.

All of my girls are OOT so we ordered off of netbride. This way they all came from the same dye lot and netbride shipped the dresses directly to their homes.

Technically, they should all order from the same store because the colors may not match perfectly. I've been in 2 weddings, and both brides handled it this way.
You can get around this with some name brands. My girls are wearing Ann Taylor, so they don't have to worry about dye lot. I've heard of a lot of girls doing this with David's Bridal as well.

i have 2 bms oot. they both happened to be here for the holidays. so when everyone was here we ordered together. once they are in i have to go down and sign a release to send them to them.....so that way they can get the alterations done where they are. a lot of people reccomend davids bridal since they have locations all over.

Ditto! My Bm's are scattered and i ordered from netbride.com and they shipped their dresses to each girls home.
