OOT bridal party

OOT bridal party

Hey girls! So most of y bridal party (girls and guys) are from OOT or even out of country. How do we go about ordering dresses and tuxes?? Is it better for them to individually call a local store by them that carries the dress, or should they all order from one store in NY and have that store ship it to them??

anyone else in this situation?

This is a great question because I was wondering the same thing..we will have 2 BM's that live out of state and I wasn't sure what to do either...have to asked at any of the stores??

I have one BM that lives in California. Geri at Lillette's told me to have her go and get measured somewhere by her, write down the measurements, and mail that to Lillette's with her deposit. Lillette's will order the dress for her, and then I can ship it out to her so she can get altered.

Just 3 of my 6 bm are from Canada and 1 is from Maine...shipping could get expensive, no? unless i have them pay the bridal shop to ship it?

Most of my bridal party is OOT too! The bridal shop where I ordered the BM dresses recommended that I order the girls dresses from one store to ensure that all of the gowns are from the same dye lot of fabric to ensure there is NO color variation. So I had my BM go to a local bridal shop get measured and then call the store wher I ordered the dresses. When the dresses arrived at the bridal shop they were shipped directly to my BM. It was really easy!!
For the GM we did a similar thing the OOT GM got measured at a local Tux shop and then called in their measurements to the place we are renting the tuxes from. The tux shop has soemone site that will make any necessary alterations when the guys go to pick up their tuxes.

My BMs paid the bridal shop directly to have the dresses shipped- It was not too expensive but I do not remember the exact amount. One dress was shipped to Virginia, one to Vermont and one to England.

Yep!!
i did exactly the same thing. you want to have the same dyed lot. so the dresses all need to be cut from the same cloth. then the dresses got shipped to the OOT girls and they are getting their alterations done at shops near them.
