OK, so I may be one of the most clueless brides. I hear all y'all talking about OOT bags, now I at least know what they are, but I have no idea what to put in them. I am having about 130 people coming to the wedding and about 80 of them are from out of town, and are staying in hotels. How much is too much? Is a bag of Fritos and a bottle of water ok, or do I leave a fruit basket or something?
Seriously I am clueless!

Re: OOT Gift Bags
We're doing bags with a little bottle(s) of water, a bag of snack mix/chips, a mini bottle of wine, gum/mints and maybe some brochures on what to do in the area - nothing crazy...

Re: OOT Gift Bags
In my friends we had: a Bottle of Pindar Wine, a cork screw, an wine stopper, M&M's & an apple w/ a sticker that said 'welcome to the big apple'
In my sister's we put: Mini-donuts, water, travel size hand cream, mini-aleve, gum, popcorn,snickers...& a few things that I can't remember. Picture of that is attached.
since OOT bags are a nice extra (not a nessecity), you can put as little or as much as you like in a bag. def hit wholesale stores for these, like costco or sams club. i think bottled water, canned soda, chips, something sweet, gum, and a nice note or monogram is more than enough. good luck!

Re: OOT Gift Bags
Here is a list of things you could choose from. My mom is very organized
Your Thank You message • Your names and wedding day on: • a Tee shirt • a refrigerator magnet • a towel, • a framed poem • a personalized candle • a sun catcher • a coffee mug • a pen • a tote bag ? Snacks such as crackers, granola bars, nuts, chocolate, etc. ? Bottles of spring water, juice or soda ? Directions to the rehearsal dinner ? Directions to the wedding ? Maps and pamphlets of tourist attractions ? Deck of cards, toys and games for the kids fruit basket or candy
Contact numbers for you, your fiance, the church and the reception site, or your wedding coordinator (if you don't have a wedding coordinator, consider asking someone close to you, such as the maid of honor, to be the 'go-to' person for the day and give his or her number to your out-of-towners). A schedule of events including pre-wedding parties and directions to all sites. A gift certificate for a local coffee shop, movie theater or ice cream shop. A mini-medical kit including bandages, antacids, cold medicine and pain relievers. A travel-sized game or a deck of cards. Directions to the nearest gas station, grocery store and drugsto

Re: OOT Gift Bags
We're doing 2 bottles of water in each bag (Waldbaum's is having a great sale this week on bottled water for 3 packs for $12 and each pack has 24 bottles in it), a bag of chips, loose hard candy and some extra set of directions and a welcome letter that also invites them to breakfast with the bride and groom the day after the wedding.
