OOT GM/BM question

For those of you who have members of your BP that live OOT, how are you handling their attire.

My FG, 2 GMs, and 1 BM live in NC. How do I handle the tuxes? How about the dresses for the the BM and FG? I have no clue. I kinda figured I'd find the dress here, then send them on a mission to find them down there.... is the best way to handle it? But how the heck would that work with the tuxes? Need advice!

All of our BP is out of town, except for my family members. We decided to order the BM dresses through a local shop (anyone who is out of state is just going to call in their measurements and then I will ship them their dresses when they come in and they'll have them altered wherever they like). Everyone is scattered all over the country (one is overseas) and it was too complicated to have them try and find shops near them that carried the same thing, etc. I wanted to make things as easy as possible for everyone.
The GMs are all renting tuxes and will order them from a local shop too since they can also call in measurements and then pick them up the day before the wedding when they get into town.
A lot of brides on here like going through internet sites to order the BM gowns. This might be an option for you too!

My GM are in 5 different states so we decided to go to Men's Warehouse. They are all linked so each GM can go to the store in their city get measurements done and they will send them to the LI store. All tuxes will be picked up in NY and my dad will return them.

As for BM they are in 4 different states so I am ordering them from RK Bridal's No Frills program (internet ordering). The dresses will be shipped to each girl and they will be responsible for alterations in their city. I will provide them with tailors who carry the dresses in each of their cities.

I was in the same situation...
What we did and what I would suggest you do is order them all from the same place. The reason why is if you have the OOT bridesmaids order from another bridal store, the color may be off...
Those who were from OOT had to call into the bridal salon with their measurements and give their CC information. Once the dresses came in I picked them up and the girls had them fitted where they lived.
For the guys, the place gave us measurement cards. I mailed out the cards, the guys took them to a local Tuxedo place, and they mailed them back... It happens all the time and tuxedo places are used to this. Then one of the local members of the wedding party picked them up a day or two before the wedding...

all of my ushers and fg's are out of town. For the tuxes I have decided to use a chain like men's warehouse or something, where i am sure they can be close to one. And the fg's are small so I can buy stuff for them without them being here.
