My reception is on long island and I have a lot of OOT guests coming in. Will the hotel hand out OOT Bags to the specific guests from OOT because I have local guests staying at the hotel too.
Is anyone else doing this? Thanks.

Everyone is getting a box that is staying for our wedding--I think it will be hard for the hotel to keep track who gets one and who doesn't unless your hotel is willing to do it- all you can do is ask

It depends on your hotel, but my guess would be no. I have OOT guests staying at the Hyatt and they will give them out when they check in, but they specifically said that they cannot be personalized. They said I could pay $5/bag to have them delivered to the rooms. Maybe you could ask about something similar and just have them sent to specific rooms?

Some hotels will do that. I gave bags to everyone who stayed regardless of where they were coming in from (weren't that many locals staying) but if I had wanted to, I could have given my hotels a list of the guests staying there that would get a bag. They were fine with that.

I am giving to all. My hotel said they will put them in the rooms I just have to bring them the night before.

We had a block of rooms reserved at the hotel, and made up enough boxes for all of the guests staying. The hotel handed them out to people as they checked in. I think it depends on the hotel, but a lot of the hotels I looked at charged you extra if you put peoples names on the box and had designated ones for specific guests.

i had a ton of oot guests for my wedding. we blocked rooms at the hilton garden inn in ronkonkoma, they were super accomodating. a few days before i dropped off the oot gable boxes and they handed them out at time of check in. i had no problems. it doesnt hurt to ask the hotel before hand bc when i was looking at hotels some charged anywhere from $2-4 to hand out each bag/box.....hth!
eta-i wanted to leave personal things in certain boxes, like for my grandfather, but the hotel said i needed to do a general box for everyone since they sometimes have to switch rooms around last minute. so they arent so specific.
