Is anyone working with a car rental company to provide a group rate for your OOT guests? My MOH (who lives in FL) just asked.
TIA!

Re: OOT Guests
Hmm never heard of doing that but it makes sense for guests flying in so they have a car to get around. I would maybe just call around to some car rental places to see what they can offer you. You may have to have a certain amount of people renting from them in order to get a discount though (I don't know for sure but I would assume so).
Have you thought about just renting a Coach Bus for your guests that don't have transportation to and from the reception? We got a 54 passenger Coach bus for pretty much the whole day for a little over $1k and it will be making multiple stops. We are using Omega Bus Express.

I haven't heard about getting a group rate for renting a car but if you have a lot of OOT guests I would look into it. If you are a AAA member, maybe try and call them first and see if they can help you in any way. If they tell you to call the rental companies, make sure you tell them you are a AAA member.
If it's just you MOH, then she might be alone on this one. BUT, if she's staying at a hotel, tell her to call the hotel and ask if they have a shuttle around town service (La Quinta did) or a company they work closely with for cabs or renting cars.

Re: OOT Guests
I've never heard of anyone doing that, but when my family had to go to FL last year for a wedding we found out a lot of people had the same flights booked so we all got together in a van car service and split the bill when we got to the hotel. so instead of a 40$ car ride it was 10$ a couple.
Maybe you can bring that up to your traveling guests so they can try to plan up or meet up at the airport. Or if you know most of the people's flight into you can give them the heads up.

Re: OOT Guests
I think if you doing anything, maybe look up some car rentals companies for your guests who want it and provide them with the information. I wouldn't put any money of your own up for this though. It's your guests choice to rent a car if they want and you shouldn't have to pay for that.

Yeah, I've never heard of this either - probably not something I'm going to do.
