Re: OOT Guests

It is nice to book a block of hotel rooms for your OOT. By doing this you don't have to pay for them, you are like just 'setting them aside' and then you inform your guests where you have the block and they call and pay for them....

I am not sure about transportation I think that is whatever you want, I may have a shuttle going to the RH and the hotel I have not decided yet, but you don't HAVE to.....

My hotel is on premise with my ceremony AND reception. Granted, it's a little more expensive for the convenience... but FH has already said his family will most likely be staying around the block from his house.. which is about a 20-30 minute ride, pending on traffic... in which case I AM NOT paying for the shuttle.

I have never been offered to pay for transportation nor has anybody helped with the hotel... so why should I go out of my way?

.. hmn... that sounds bitter.. but it's true.

we are block rooms at a nearby hotel, not only for the oot guest, but for anyone not wanting to drive home too.

it comes in handy and when people see the option they end up going for it

Re: OOT Guests

I will have Hotel blocks listed on our website (whenever I make one) or I may drop a card into the invite but not have it listed on the invite itself.

I plan on having a welcome bag for every room, not exactly sure what will be in it.

And I do plan on having a shuttle, even though I'm having a day wedding I think it'll be a good thing to plan for but I have no idea about cost or logistics yet.

we are doing this..the rates are discounted because you put a group of them aside so its cheaper for everyone than if they did it on their own and its allows other local people to decide if they want to stay and drink so they can enjoy the party!

we are going to invite the guests who stay to breakfast/brunch the next morning and we will pay for that.

Re: OOT Guests

we will be blocking rooms (def not paying)....doing something kind of 'welcome party' at the bar where we're having the RD....doing welcome bags as well as having shuttles...AND most likely a brunch the next day
