OOT guests bringing an 'actual' gift to the wedding
So, one of my best guy friends from upstate called me yesterday asking me 'what we want' as a gift for the wedding. He said there were no registries listed on the invite and I politely said that it is not proper etiquette to do that, as registries are only provided on the invitations for bridal showers.
Anyway, I did tell him where we were registered, and in turn he asked me if we had a Le Creuset on there and I said yes, but it hadn't been purchased yet. He said that he'd love to get that for us, and I'm beyond excited. It's a very generous gift (the one we have up is $350), but here is my dilemma:
Where the EFFFFFF am I going to put this thing if he brings it to the reception? We don't have a gift table (as I'm sure most of us do not), and that thing is freaking HEAVY.
We're leaving for the HM the next morning, straight from our RH!

I don't think he'd be so savvy, but hope springs eternal!!!! Lord knows what the shipping would be on that monster!

Yeah, thats true!
Well, if not, i guess you have to nominate a bm/gm or a parent to hold on to it for you!

A LOT of people brought gifts to my wedding. Your RH should be prepared for that....

Maybe your mom or MOH can take it home and you can get it from them later? Or could you ask him to have it shipped to your house?

We had a few boxed gifts....The people at the RH found a place for them and then I sent it home with my parents.

Most OOT guests that give gifts usually mail it 'coz they don't want to lug it around either.
