OOT HOTEL GUEST BAGS

OOT HOTEL GUEST BAGS

I went to a wedding over the weekend and everyone was looking for them - I guess they didnt do it.

So I decided it would be nice to do them.

What do you put in them?

Some bottles of water, and non-perishable goodies. Maybe cookies, granola bars, stuff like that. Maybe even a map of the area of a 'things to do' guide, if they'll be in town a few days.

I'm def. doing them. I think they're most helpful especially when they have the shuttle and breakfast info in them. I feel lost when I check into a hotel for a wedding and they don't have them.

I'm going to include 2 water bottles, granola bars/cereal bars, gum, maybe some other edible. And a welcome message w/the shuttle time info and time for breakfast the next morning.

Mine does. But they charge this because the way they do it there is to bring them to the rooms. I don't want it done this way because what if they don't deliver it to the room until after my guests have left for the reception?? Some of my guests will taking the hotel shuttle and that schedule will be in the bags. So I'm trying to negotiate now whether they'll still charge me $2 a bag if they just store them behind the desk and hand them to my guests as they check in. So annoying.

I don't get why they charge. I feel like I should designate someone else to sit in the lobby and hand them to guests as they arrive!!

Especially since a LOT of our guests are OOT its gonna be $$$.

I went to a wedding where they did not give them out and we all felt a little cheated. We are definitely doing them!

That's crazy. All they have to do it put them in the room the morning of the day they are checking in.

How many bags are we talking about, though? You said you have a lot of OOT guests ... I will only have about 25 TOPS, about 15 couples included in there - but if you are talking 100 rooms, maybe the fee makes sense (it will take a long time to distribute).

we are doing bottles of water & soda and munchies (chips, cookies and candy). When we went to a wedding out of NY we definatley could use those things. Late nights..dont want to leave the room... stuff like that

they charge to hand them out?!?! that's ridiculous. our hotel charges to put them in the rooms but it's free for them to hand them to guests at check-in.

you should really give them a hard time about that, it's crazy.
