OOT marriage licence

I am living in Texas, but getting married in NY. Do I get a marriage licence in NY or Texas? Confused!

you can go to any town hall in ny. it is valid for 60 days and you must obtain one at least 24 hrs before the wedding.

You can get the marriage license anywhere in NY, but it must be NY. So let's say you are getting married in Suffolk Co, it would still be ok to get the license in Nassau Co..

any where in NY... make sure to pick one and then give them a call to ensure you have all the documentation that -that branch requires... for some reason certain towns require different items.

HI- we are in the same situation as you-- living in Tx (Dallas Area) and getting married in NY. We were told today from our officiant that we get it in NY but it must be 48hrs before. I'm going to look into it more this week while I'm in NY- and then I can help you more. What part of TX are you from??
