I was thinking of making OOT bags to leave at the front desk of the hotel for my OOT guests and I was wondering what you think should go in them
THANKS

Re: OOT Welcome bags
Most people put in sample stuff - toothpaste, lotions, etc. I am doing them and taking a different route- I am going to put a bottle of wine, 2 glasses, and some cheese and crackers in mine...also water and chips I think.

Re: OOT Welcome bags
I got a very nice basket at the last wedding I went to: a whole mani/pedi set, two chocolates, a mini bottle of wine, a votive candle in a nice holder, and thos plastic wibe glasses. I have to honestly say while that was such a nice basket, I would have preferred if it had a couple bottles of water and a snack!

Re: OOT Welcome bags
At the last wedding I went to, our bags had tissues, some advil, a bottle of water, and some snacks - a few Hershey's kisses and candy bars. I think it also had a note from the bride and groom giving us an itinerary and their favorite rides (it was at Disney).

Re: OOT Welcome bags
So do you just leave it with the Hotel and hope that they give it to the right people who check in?

Re: OOT Welcome bags
Yes, you leave them at the front desk and they give it to the guests as they check in.

Re: OOT Welcome bags
go to costco or sams club and buy it in bulk. I assigned this task to my moh and she's loving it. she's making bags with labels on them of our names and the date. and filling it with tons of stuff. It's good b/c she just checks in with me but I don't actually have to do anything!

Re: OOT Welcome bags
Every family wedding has been out of state so there is always a bag waiting at the desk. They give it to you as you check in. A bottle of water has always been the first thing I grabbed out of the bag. Breath mints second. Candy and itinerary(SP?) in the elevator. One time it was around Halloween so we got plastic pumpkins...still have mine :).

Re: OOT Welcome bags
I would put maps and directions to and from ceremony and receptions sites as well as the hotels.

Re: OOT Welcome bags
FH and I were at BB&B the other day (in Maryland, but I'm sure they are all the same). They had a section with TONS of little travel things like shampoo, body wash, and even little snacks. I think we'll go there when we make the OOT bags, and also to get travel stuff for our honeymoon. Hey...I think I'll actually post this on BHB in case brides want to get travel stuff for the honeymoon...
