yep...Centerpieces were fine - but i had planned on doing votive candles instead of place cards and is was a big no-no. They said absolutely not...that too many people get tipsy at the cocktail hour, and then would have to grab their candle & walk it to the reception room...when u think about it, it actually does make sense...either drunks burning themselves, someone else, or God forbid even dropping their candle. In the end i heard from so many brides about how much work it was & i probably would've drove myself crazy anyway lol. but initially i was really bummed about it. so girls, make sure you ask! I would've never even thought to ask but it was actually mentioned in here!

I have no idea!!!!!!!! It doens't say it on my contract so I am guessing it's ok. Also I think they have candles on the tables in the resturant down stairs but I can't remember for the life of me!!!

Re: 'Open Flame Policy'
I know my RH provides candles on the tables and said 'yes' to candle placecards when i asked.
so i assume based on that there is no problem with open flame.

Re: 'Open Flame Policy'
I don't think so, I went to a wedding at my RH this past weekend and there were candles going. Plus our florist works with RH all the time and the candles with the CPs were his idea. So I'm gonna say no

Re: 'Open Flame Policy'
no clue! we had candles in hurricanes on our tables as the centerpiece, and votives on the CH tables, the bar, and some at our place card table. So maybe, but who knows.

Re: 'Open Flame Policy'
Most RHs have an open flame policy, but its more along the lines of it must be inside of something not free standing....like we had to have our candles inside hurricanes, I have since heard you can do open flame but most of them say it must be contained.
