my friends on live chat (tara, debbie, jennbaby) told me to open my dress to let the air in. I got it delivered today - in a box - and my first fitting is the 20th of july. i was going to leave it closed - too afraid to open it! but does it really need 'air'? anybody let me know!

If you do not open it how will you know if all is well with it and if it came as you wanted it to be??? What will opening do to it?? My dress has been here since last June and I have tried it on a couple of times, unless there is something opening does to it, I don't see a problem with you opening it JMO
I ended up calling Saks - she said it's fine in there - and that she prefers if I don't open it. She said it's unzipped in there to let in air, and since the box is only sealed with packing tape, it's noy 100% airtight. She said the time to find out if there is something wrong is when SHE opens it next Saturday - and then we'll all know I didn't do anything to it! (she DID say that if I was going to have it for around a month or any longer than that - she would ask me to hang it up.) - Who knew? :)
