I think the panel is very elegant without it can be OOOH sexy. It depends on what look you are looking for.

Hmm I was going to say leave the panel open because I liked the way it looked, but then I read a post about it being kind of low and I took a second look an dwould have to agree. Your dress is gorgeous BTY

I agree - it looks better closed, so the dress isn't rubbing up against your skin, or when you start sweating from dancing - you don't want guests to see that in the back of your dress

I thin they both will look great. In my oppion it all depends on the look that you are looking for closed looks very elegant but open looks sexy!!! I would go with open
